TAPIR: The Assessment of Prednisone In Remission Trial
The various forms of vasculitis are considered rare diseases making it difficult to conduct clinical research in the field. Much of the significant contributions to the literature have come from multicenter trials. This collaboration aims to develop a close relationship between the Greater Plains Collaborative Clinical Data Research Network (GPC-CDRN) and the Vasculitis Patient-Powered Research Network (V-PPRN). Goals include development of computable phenotypes for future pragmatic trials, extending patient engagement in vasculitis research trials, and extending the bidirectional exchange between the GPC-CDRN and the V-PPRN.
