MS Study

Investigators at the University of Kansas Medical Center have a Health Policy grant funded by the National MS Society to study the effectiveness of home- and community-based services (HCBS) for people with MS who receive Medicare and Medicaid benefits. The goals of the program are to create a catalog of States' Medicaid policies surrounding availability of and access to HCBS services and to quantitatively analyze the comparative effectiveness of these policies in reducing health care costs. A third goal is to discuss these findings with patients with MS and their caregivers and develop a white paper to guide future policies in collaboration with the National MS Society.
